Support Worker Nights The Dexters, The Gravers, Christmas Lodge - York

As a Night Support Worker, you'll play a key role in helping adults with enduring mental health needs and/or learning disabilities live with dignity, purpose, and connection. It’s your role to help ensure residents feel safe, supported, and respected – maintaining routines, responding to needs, and preparing for a positive start to the next day. You don’t need formal care experience – we value kindness, reliability, and emotional awareness above all. If you’re someone who brings calm, compassion, and quiet confidence to a team, we’d love to hear from you. We also welcome people with lived experience of mental health or care roles, career changers from education, hospitality, or community work, and experienced support workers looking for a values-aligned team. As a Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in helping adults with enduring mental health needs and/or learning disabilities live with dignity, purpose, and connection. You'll support residents in developing life skills, maintaining routines, and progressing along their personal recovery journeys – whether that means long-term stability or preparing for more independent living. You don’t need formal care experience – we’re more interested in who you are. If you’re calm, compassionate, a good listener, and committed to helping people live fuller lives, you could be the right fit. We also welcome people with lived experience of mental health or care roles, career changers from education, hospitality, or community work, and experienced support workers looking for a values-aligned team. Using up to date techniques and approaches supporting clients to progress in their recovery to a better mental health and greater dependence.
